Here is the work for this week which will be due for correction this Friday 3rd April. 
Topic: Portraits 
Task 1:  (40 Mins approx)  'Portrait Artist Exercise'
 - Instructions are given on the attached file: 'Portrait Artist Exercise'
 - You will need to look at the 'Portrait Examples' file to do this task.
Task 2: (45 mins minimum)
Make a portrait drawing with tone (shading).
You can draw by looking at someone at home, yourself, OR from a photograph. (You shouldn't copy another artist's drawing)
You can use any medium (pencil, pen, colouring pencils, watercolours/pencils etc) 
You can use the proportion guidelines if needed ('Proportions of the Head' Work Package 1) 
Success Criteria:

• Use full size of sketchbook page - or use any page if you have no sketchbook 
  
• You have applied 'Observed' tone (you have studied the light and shade on the face/head and put this information into your drawing)
  
• You have tried to place the facial features in the right place on the head (i.e. don't place the eyes on the forehead!)
  
• The facial features are in proportion to each other (i.e. the eyes aren't too large or too small in relation to the size of the head)
  
• You have included the person's neck & shoulders where possible
