3rd French - Work Package 1 - Mr Goff

Bonjour étudiants et parents,

The current situation is far from ideal but we have to assume that the junior cert exams will go ahead as normal and continue to prepare accordingly. As such 3rd year French students;
 It is important that we do not neglect our listening skills during this time as, presumable, you will not be exposed to as much spoken french at home as you would in the classroom. Therefore, please make an extra effort to use the online resources i have shown you previously. French artists on spotify. French language videos on youtube. French language podcasts on the free Castbox app and even French tv shows & films on Netflix. These resources however, should supplement other work - not replace it.

Aujourd'hui, tournez à la page 59 d'Allons Y 2, et regardez à exercice 2.7. C'est un exercice de compréhension écoute.

You all should have 2 CDs at the back of your textbook. This exercise is track 21 on CD1.
  1. Insert the CD1 into a CD player or disk drive on a computer and skip to track 21.
  2. Listen to the track 3 times while answering the questions
  3. If you struggle to get the answers on the first 2 plays, uses pauses on the 3rd play.
If you do not have access to a CD player or disk drive, the content is available online just follow the instructions on the inside back cover of the text book to download your copy of the online version of the book.

Also do exercise 2.8 p59 (play 3 times also)
 Next do p61 qs 1-8 (that would have been given as homework normally)

When all work is done can you please take a picture of it and email it to me for correction and feedback. Alternatively, you can write your work in a Word document and attach it to an email.
 When emailing me work, please ensure that everything in it is clear and legible. I don't want to waste valuable time sending emails back and forth to figure out what a particular sentence says - something that can be clarified in seconds in class.
So please ensure all work is clearly labelled with student name, date, page number and exercise number. Please ensure handwriting is as neat as possible and if you are sending a picture of work, that no part of it is cut out of the picture and lighting is sufficient to read the work. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. This will take a little getting used to but we will get better at it.

Kind regards,
 Mr. Goff.
