Today marks the beginning of December but it also marks our next wellbeing theme here in CPPS. The theme for December is Kindness - we will spend the month engaging in acts of kindness both within and outside our school community. We have lots of activities planned and a few surprises along the way!! Walking and running shoes are being put on as we take part in Kildare Sports Partnership's Reindeer challenge whereby everyday students and staff are recording a walk or run they go on. This is a class effort and so total distances will be recorded - may the best reindeer's win!! We are holding a food drive again this year after last year's huge success and are asking students who can, to donate dry store food items and/or toiletries. These will be donated locally. We are also looking for donations of old or unwanted clothing - these will be collected by ClothesPod and in keeping with our theme of kindness, moneys earned will be donated locally also. We are joining with lots of school across the country on December 10th and we will wear our Christmas jumpers in aid of Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin. Various class groups will be decorating decorations for display in the community and others will send care packs to nursing home residents using An Post's Carepack Program. Our corridors will be brightened as classes compete in decorating their doors and kindness will be in the air as daily random acts of kindness challenges will be set during tutorial. Parents/Guardians can check in on some updates by checking their child's dedicated Wellbeing Area in MS Teams or by following the fun on Twitter 🎄🎅
